Calrec is set to make a major impact at Tonmeistertagung 2025, featuring its cutting-edge broadcast audio solutions including the German debut of its brand new 48-fader Argo M console. Calrec will be represented by its official DACH partner, Cerberus Media Solutions throughout the four-day event, which takes place from 12th-15th November, in Düsseldorf, Germany. A 36-fader Argo M housed in Steiger Media’s new fully equipped OB Truck positioned outside the venue will demonstrate the agility of Calrec's True Control 2.0, seamlessly connecting the truck to a 48-fader Argo M and Calrec's ImPulseV cloud DSP software on the Cerberus Booth #23a. This workflow showcases true remote surface control in action.

Argo M delivers all the power, familiarity and reliability of Calrec’s flagship Argo platform in 24, 36, and now 48-fader footprints. Visitors to the show can get hands-on with the 24-fader Argo M in Room 3, while in Room 2, Calrec will demonstrate the 36-fader Argo S console. This modular, IP-native surface is built for high-pressure broadcast environments, with two height variants and extensive customisable controls. Argo S is designed to deliver unmatched flexibility, giving broadcasters precise, resilient control over every aspect of their live productions.

Outside the venue, Steiger Media’s brand new 7.5 tonne OB unit is designed to support full 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos monitoring. Its compact 36-fader Argo M can handle up to180 input channels, 96 buses, 32 aux paths and 48 IFBs, and supports all common audio network protocols including AES67, Dante, SoundGrid, and Madi. At Tonmeistertagung Calrec will demonstrate full console surface control in real time on the Cerberus stand via Calrec Assist, the company's browser-based control interface.

Meanwhile, in Room 16, attendees can experience the versatility of Calrec’s Type R surface, now enhanced with a suite of new features including off-air record, improved GPIO talkback, monitor selector follow, mix-minus bus user labels and an expanded DSP pack.

Calrec will also highlight its new v1.4 Argo software. This update brings a host of new capabilities including enhanced routing strip functionality, Argo Q support for two sets of custom wild panels per section and a fully customisable Tiles feature for personalised meter layouts with thumbnails. Workflow efficiency has also been refined with a streamlined mix-minus process, greater output flexibility and interrogation tools that provide detailed insight into routing and bus assignments.

Cerberus Media Solutions Managing Director René Harder said, “The 36-fader Argo M integration shows how Calrec’s technology can scale perfectly to meet the demands of OB and remote production. We’re proud to present this system and Calrec’s latest innovations to the industry at Tonmeistertagung 2025.”

To complement its technical showcase, Calrec’s Director of Product Management Henry Goodman will lead a presentation titled, Powering Live Production Agility. The session will explore how distributed processing, virtualisation and advanced control workflows are transforming production environments and redefining operational efficiency.
